This morning I woke up early, grabbed a cup of coffee, and started looking at food blogs, the number of which seems endless. Until I began this blog recently I had not spent much time searching them out. I found it quite inspiring. I would like to share with you two which I particularly enjoyed…smitten kitchen and ruthreichl . Having read some of Ruth Reichl’s books I was familiar with her, and find her food writing addictive. You just keep wanting more…
Smitten Kitchen is a beautifully photographed, and charmingly written blog with a vast array of recipes and information. In fact after having read today’s post which features a recipe for perfect blueberry muffins, adapted from Cook’s Illustrated, I decided to bake a batch for breakfast.
You can find the recipe on the blog. I tweaked it a little by combining ½ cup sour cream with ¼ cup Greek yogurt, increasing the blueberries to 1 cup, and sprinkling some sugar on top of the muffins. I also used the convection bake setting on my oven. I have to say it was a lovely way to start the day !
